Leroy Somer R250 is an analog A.V.R. with numerical regulation function (micro-controler) and power controled by transistors.

It is designed for small alternators with a SHUNT excitation.
R250 Leroy Somer AVR controls the excitation current in order to maintain the output voltage of the alternator.
R250 AVR is performant in terms of voltage regulation, simple to set , to use and is reliable.
It is in compliance with I.E.C. 60034-1 standard and U.L. 508 / C.S.A. approved.

Brushless Generator 20kva Voltage Regulator AVR R250 is a half-wave phase controlled thyristor type Automatic Voltage Regulator and forms part of the excitation system for a brushless generator. In addition to regulating the generator voltage, the AVR circuitry includes under speed and sensing loss protection to ensure safe, reliable control of the generator. Positive voltage build up from residual levels is ensured by the use of proficient semiconductors in the power circuitry of the AVR. Which is linked with the main stator windings and the exciter field windings to offer closed loop control of the output voltage with load regulations of +/- 1.5%
